Paradise is Calling
Greetings friends and family,
As we slide into September, and wrap up our 2022 season, we’ll close our doors for 45 days to prepare for our new 2023 season. Out comes the sanding machines and buckets of varnish, paint brushes and cans, power washers and power tools. Everyone pitches in and it’s time to build unity among our fantastic team. We’ll open November 1st with a fresh look, and rejuvenated enthusiasm to welcome our friends and family back.
This is also a time for Erika and I to reflect, remember, and feel grateful for our guests. This past season we were especially grateful for those who returned to our hotel and helped us emerge from under the cloud that was cast over tourism since March 2020.
With a full heart, thank you! I have a gift for you. Wait for it…
The best part about owning & operating a small 14 room boutique hotel is that we get to know each and every guest on a personal level. We welcome our guests onto our property with an appreciation that they chose us for their stay in Costa Rica and consider their arrival as a validation that we have built something very special. This feeling of gratitude is the root of our style of hospitality. If you have been to Tierra Magnifica then you know, the moment you walk through the entry, you are family, and we are glad to see you.
This feeling is reflected most often in our Trip Advisor reviews
(Click Here to Read), and is the reason we are chosen by TA as the Best of the Best Hotels for 2022, and the 2021 and 2022 Top Rated Small Exclusive Hotel in Central and South America by
Condé Nast Johansen’s.
Ok, here it is…..
To show our appreciation for our friends and family, we are establishing a permanent 10% rate discount on our rooms for all our returning guests, any time of the year.
When you book your room directly with us, leave a comment in the notes as to when you stayed with us last. We will adjust your rate, and we’ll remember the things you like to eat, drink, and do in Nosara so that we can be prepared for your arrival home again.
If it’s easier for you, you’re welcome to send me an email and let me know when you’d like to return. I’ll be thrilled to hear from you, and happy to help you with your reservation.
What’s New?
If you haven’t been with us for a little while, I’d like to share with you some of the things we’ve done since your last stay. We now have a minimum age policy of 15 in our restaurant, and hotel so that we can offer a tranquil environment for couples on romantic getaway, solo travelers working remotely, or on a wellness vacation, and families with older children who appreciate the peace and quiet and our fantastic culinary experience.
Our Rooms
The King Suites
During our Covid shut down, we constructed a new building with six new 550 square foot ocean view suites with showers overlooking the forest and ocean.
The Master Suite
We also created a spectacular 1,500 square-foot Master Suite with a large balcony, and spacious inside lounge. The Master Suite lounge has a connecting room with two queen beds; perfect for a family, and close friends.
All of our other rooms received some love and attention including new artwork, and furnishings.
Drinks and Dining
We doubled the seating area of our restaurant, Huacas, and built a new kitchen and bar. We move the Concierge’s desk over towards the entry way to make it easier for our guest to check-in and ask for special requests. Our mixology has never been better, and Chef Paulo’s menu continues to win rave reviews and awards!
Make sure to book a stay including a Friday night so that you can enjoy our live Latin Jazz Lounge evening. We always have a full house taking in the sophisticated side of tropical paradise.
Relax and Rejuvenate
Over the past two years we have completely renovated our yoga pavilion and spa, the waterfall nature trail, the pool deck, and the grassy, shaded areas for you to enjoy your personal space.
Our renovated spa is simply spectacular. We still have the same therapist team ready to offer the best massage you’ve had in years.
This new season we are able to offer once again complementary yoga every morning, and we offer a host of teachers for private meditation, movement, and yoga sessions.
Things to do in Nosara
Our little beach town has grown considerably in the past five years but still retains the boutique authentic charm you enjoyed on your last visit. Nosara still has that laid back feel with no large hotels, resorts, or condo buildings, but we have many new restaurants and boutique shops at Playa Guiones, and Pelada.
All of our guests at Tierra Magnifica have complementary membership to a private beach club at Playa Guiones so you can enjoy the best of both worlds, hanging out at the beach with your valuables secure, and then showering off before strolling around the vibrant beach community. When you’ve had enough hustle and bustle and sun, you’ll return home to the shady breeze, and tranquility of Tierra Magnifica
All of the activities you love are, of course, still available with the same guides and surf instructors we’ve been using for years. There are some new ones too. Nosara has become a mountain biking destination with a store offering top-of-the-line gear for rentals, and purchase, and a fantastic single-track course.
The fishing out of Playa Garza has never been better, with some newer boats, and also a couple of catamarans available for leisurely cruises, snorkeling, and sunset sails.
The tennis scene continues to grow in Nosara with more courts added, and the yoga, Pilates, and fitness class offerings have expanded tremendously.
There’s more to love in Nosara than ever before. If I have piqued your interest, or raised a few questions, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email; I’d love to hear from you. Your TM family would love to see you in the new 2023 season. We’ve missed you!
Have a safe, and joy-filled rest of your summer and fall,
