Do I need a car?

No, it’s very easy to get around our beach community in a taxi van or the Tuk Tuks – 3 wheeled covered motos with a bench seat for 2 behind the driver. The concierges will be happy to call one for you that will show up in 10 minutes to take you to the beach community or a recommended restaurant. we can also help you rent a golf cart or an ATV it’s a good option to move around town.

Do you have a shuttle to the beach?

We don’t offer a shuttle to the beach, we can always arrange a Tuk Tuk (Nosara Taxis 3 wheeled covered motos with a bench seat for 2 behind the driver.) ride for you. It’s about 10 min to go down the beach and each Tuk Tuk ride costs around $10.

How long is the drive from the airport? (both LIR and SJO)

We offer private transportation to/from Liberia and San Jose Airport, the drive from Liberia airport to Tierra Magnifica takes about 2 1/2 hrs, and from San Jose Airport to Tierra Magnifica takes about 4 1/2 hrs. Another option would be to hop on one of the 4 daily regional flights into Nosara which takes about 40 minutes.

What does the nightly rate include?

Our lodging rate includes full made-to-order breakfast, personal laundry service, access to The Gilded Iguana Beach Club, and one yoga class daily at 7:30 am.

Are all the rooms ocean-view?

All of our rooms have a lovely ocean view with the upper level rooms having a slightly bigger view.

Do the rooms have a coffee maker?

Yes, we have coffee and tea pods and the machine in each room.

How good is the internet?

Our private Fiber Optic Internet Line is excellent and cell service is very good anywhere on our property.

Is water safe to drink?

The water in Costa Rica is safe. There is no need to worry about salads or vegetables. There is bottled water in your room and filter water at Tierra Magnifica as well as restaurants in the area.

Can we use US dollars or do we need to exchange at the airport?

US dollars are accepted everywhere in Costa Rica. Most stores will offer a discount when paying with dollars. $10s, $20s and $50s are preferred and most stores will not take $100 bills. You will be able to use your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) in all hotels and most restaurants. There are ATM’s in Nosara and all the other areas of travel.

Cancellation policies.

Holiday Season: Cancellations with less than 90 days prior to arrival will not be refunded. In case of “No Show”, there is no refund.
Gold Season: Cancellations with less than 30 days prior to arrival will not be refunded. In case of “No Show”, there is no refund.
Green Season: Cancellation with less than 14 days prior to arrival will not be refunded. In case of “No Show”, there is no refund.

Do you have private parking?

Yes, we have complimentary secure, private parking for guests at the hotel.

Do you have a minimum stay requirement?

During our Holiday Season we request for a minimum of 4 nights.

Is there a security guard?

Yes, we have a security guard from 5pm to 6am every day.

How close are we to the beach?

Tierra Magnifica is nestled in the hill overlooking the surf and beach community. It’s just a short 8 minute shuttle to the beach entrance and the private beach club.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

Some of our guests prefer to rent a car so they have flexibility in exploring the beaches north and south of us. Most of our guests, however, choose our private shuttle service to bring them to our hotel. The drive from the Liberia International Airport is about 2 1/2 hours. Some of our guests fly into the San Jose international airport and we booked seats for them on a regional flight directly into our beach town, Nosara.

Can I book a massage or a nature tour in advance?

Our concierges team will be happy to assist you with booking all your activities, spa services, private yoga sessions, restaurant reservations, surf classes, and other fitness classes.
