Jon Mangogna started his journey into functional fitness at the early age of 5, in the form of the Japanese Martial Art of Judo, which continued through disciplined training and competitive circuit for the next 13 years and on resulting in a United States Judo Association 3rd Degree brown belt. Another early age start in the world of surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and anything involving high energy, excitement, challenge, and balance lead to the lifetime love of movement that he still pursues today.
